Southern neighbors robbing us: "Free-Trade"

:: chinese gobbling-up our companies: threat to national interest
- Do i smell xenophobia?

I find it so funny when people get their feathers ruffled-up and get so concerned that the Chinese can also buy shares in our public companies. First we beg for foreign investment, and when they get interested in buing our companies we get all suspicious.

If it were an American company the red carpet would be rolled out. If it were a European company we would probably even brag about the take-over. But oh no! Chinese state-owned companies buying our companies... "Hell No!" In both cases we should stick to the same principle: Can companies own and trade a country's national resources? If not, then let's nationalize and then as per histroical facts expalin, mismanage our resources. Or leave it private, allow the companies be publicly-traded, in which case anyone can buy them on the market based on a fair price.

We can not keep on sticking to our double standards and expect the rest of the world to respect our hypocracy.

If resources are vital national interests, then we must nationalize the companies that manage our resources.
If not, we must allow the market to determine how buys them for how much.

:: On the hunt for tele-marketers

I ran to catch my cell ringing. It was from 8008319519. I missed the call. But I was really tching to find out if it were an important phone call or not? I googled the number and know with certainty that I had missed an annoying call that I am not sad to have missed! In fact, I stumbled upon an intersting blog:

good to be back
:: st-charles is in good hands!

I spent last week in St-Charles getting trained at the Q Center, the new name for Andersen's Center for Professional Education.

The session I was enrolled in was Accenture's Core Manager School. I met some great people and really enjoyed learning about various topics dealing with Shareholder Value Added, Social Styles and building effective proposals.

I hope to keep in touch with the new people I met. In the weeks ahead I will be sharing some more info on new developments in my life and the new projects I am working on!
